Intro: The RH Pre-Musikgarten Ear Training Program

Every Child Is Gifted Already! Yes, Every Child Also, Is Musically Gifted from birth!

We have experienced at the ReHearsal House Childhood Musical Program, that the Preschool Age Kid, has an active Music Learning experience, even though the parents and tutors, may not recognize just how much- to what extent, or if there is any active learning going on!

The Musician has a couple of skill set areas, they want to get as near perfection as possible, and even so progressively; of these areas, such as sight (for sight reading), technique-reference (e.g vocals, for singers, fingering for pianists, guitarists, etc; embouchure for woodwind players, etc); or even note orientation (for melody writing & composition), a most unifying skill set areas, perhaps the single most important skill set areas, is the Ears: its perfect pitch or excellent relative pitch!

Now, guess what? Every Pre-Musikgartener has an absolute one hundred percent chance and opportunity to become perfect on this skill set- the Ears, with seemingly the most "minimal" conscious-awareness as possible! It is here that their Active Learnings is most happening! And for the kids, it's just a series of fun time (provided the Childhood Musical Academy, has a well defined Program on Ear Training for Preschoolers)!

Yes, the Program has to be intentional, intelligently Arranged, the kids should not be left to "whatever music society trends"! Like it or not, every Child, indeed everyone who is listening to Music, is getting their Musicianship prepped! They are being not only Music-Exposure trained, they are also being, and even more importantly: Ear Trained!

In our 2024 Program, the Ear Training Program is being given a well deserved special place not only for our Preschoolers, but also for Musikgarteners and Grade-schoolers.

Childhood Musicals 2024/2025 Program Session

So, let us first say, welcome to the ReHearsal House Childhood Musical Blog Once Again! And, of course, here we document our projects, our programs and program plans as it relates to the Childhood Musicals division of ReHearsal House Nigeria. In the 2024/2025 Applied Musical Program for Children, we continue the Traditional Upgrade of the Program Content. Program Continues in the RH Academy On-site Centres, Home Services Centres and the Virtual (Online) Sessions. Classes Kicks off from the 13th of January, and yes, Students and Pupils are expected to verify their current program Level- this includes- Program Level and Current Semester (See Profile); as well as Instrumental Majors and Minors; Elective, Core and Mandatory Courses (we have included recommendations).
